NorB: The Gardener

Take, copy and share this, for yourself and/or with anyone you feel might need this today. May it encourage you and them as much as it did me.

God has a funny sense of humor.

One day He focuses on one issue in your life and then the next day He is focused on another. It shows me that there are many issues in my life that can be taken care of but, more importantly, that God is not just focusing on one thing. If I did, I would get hyper-focused on one point, spend days on it at a time, obsessing, and eventually give up. Thank God He doesn’t. In this garden, we call our life, as I have told many others, you can’t just plant flowers you gotta fight weeds. And sometimes the Gardener focuses on the one plant and sometimes he focuses on the whole garden.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been thinking about how I want to proceed with this website and a couple of things have come to mind for this:

1. I want to take a small amount of my time every morning and draw.

2. I want to put some kind of scripture theme with it. An interpretation of a small piece.

3. My goal is to try to do this every day, five days a week, and that’s what’s on my heart. I don’t know if I can or not because, well, consistency is not one of my strong points, but, there’s something different about this.

I have already been sent some email from subscribers to this site that they are upset that I am putting biblical content with my drawings.

I don’t care.

After thinking about it on vacation, at great length, this “study time“ in the mornings, is meant for me and no one else. I just post them in hopes that it helps make somebody else’s day better and that’s all. I just want to start my day out on a positive note and I know, that these doodles from scripture are the best way that I can think of!

Many loose ends in my life are coming together and it is “weaving” something better than I could’ve ever imagined, and it brings me peace.

It’s like it was designed like that or something?

Yay for the Gardener!

This is what I came up with this morning. After spending some time, reflecting the thought of God “ carrying our baggage” came to mind. So, I fleshed it out.
