Shannon and I were sitting around recently (and when I say “sitting around” I mean; Sketch: “Shannon, I know it’s 1AM but I’m not tired, I just got home from work and we should do something! Shannon: zzzzzZZZZ! Wha? Yes, Let’s do something, like, SLEEP!”
When I decided to check my phone for the distance that I have been walking with the new job, I discovered quite a bit. What I found out was it was much more than I had anticipated, A LOT MORE. I decided to put these numbers down so I can track them and turn them into my Doctor the next time I go in for a physical.
I never thought about it, how making a couple of changes in my life could change so much. Yes I do a lot of walking, yes my feet hurt when I get home, but it’s on the weekends that I notice a difference. Endurance, distance and wanting to do more has changed the way I am looking at life now. I feel better and I’m losing weight.
I am at the lowest my weight has been in DECADES. I just have to wait for the rest of my body to catch up, right Shannon?
“…zzzzZZZZ!!!”
Go win your day and maybe somebody else’s too!
Next time just whisper “I think the house is on fire”. Bet she wakes right up!
Agreed! But I know a better one, that will jump start her; “Who’s $20.00 bill is this?” BOING!
